The youngest group is kindergarten first group (3-4 yo). Information about all classes can be found here.

How is it determined in which class is the child enrolled?

The determination of the class in which children are enrolled is made on the basis of age (according to the table in the Programs section) and the level of proficiency in Bulgarian. The age of the children is determined on the basis of the completed years of the child in the calendar year in which the respective school year begins. For example, children born in calendar year 2012 will be 7 years of age in 2019 and will accordingly be enrolled in first grade in the 2019/2020 school year.

In cases where the child has reached the required age for a class, but the level of command of the Bulgarian language is insufficient for that class, it will be recommended that the child enroll in a lower class. The level of proficiency in Bulgarian is determined by the teachers.

Yes, there are. For the 2019/2020 academic year, the Boston Branch hosts several children's groups (choir, folk dance and fine arts) and traditional workshops (Christmas, March and Easter). There will also be regular guest speakers who will give talks on topics related to Bulgarian culture and history. Extracurricular activities are included in the student fee and will be held before classes, from 2pm to 2.45pm in the school building.

For the most active parents and grandparents, a creative social gathering is organized from 3pm to 5:30 pm as well as several sales throughout the year.
