Agenda from the PTO (Parent-Teacher Organization):
The Bulgarian School in Boston and Cape Cod is the parents’ school! (these word have been used multiple times by the president, one of the founders of the school, Rosen Dimitrov.)
There is no guarantee that any idea we will discuss on October 12, 2019 will become a reality. Often, resources, coordination and approval from teachers and the board are required. But experience so far shows, that when an idea is good and has the support and energy of the majority of the parents, it becomes a reality!
Here is the agenda for our meeting:
Introduction & History
Responsibilities & discipline in class
Promoting the idea of raising funds for the school
We appreciate your time and attention, so in addition we have 2 more points:
The meeting will commence at exactly 3:20 and end at 5:00 pm. We will go through the topics in a structured and effective way. Items that cannot be resolved will be discussed at our next meeting.
We will limit the use of two words: “you” and “they”. All of us, parents in the school, the leadership and the teachers, have one common goal – the well being and the prosperity of our children and the preservation of the Bulgarian language, spirit and culture. Leadership, teachers and many parents have continued giving resources and energy to help achieve these goals. If we want something better, we just need effective communication and assistance. That is, everyone in this school, founded and supported by volunteer work and donations, is “us”!
As usual, there will be treats to assist us with the discussions and hard work!
See you all on Saturday, October 12th, at 3:20 pm!
